Molly's Muse No. 10

Happy Friday--And, it's officially winter, wa-hoo! From now until spring, I will be bouncing back and forth between Florida and Minnesota, which gives me the best of both worlds (climates?). While I love being warm down south, my heart begins to ache for the snow and my fireplace back on Lake Minnetonka.

For this week's Muse, I have two trips planned for you to take this winter season to fulfill both the cold and tropical desires your heart may have (like mine). They are both places I hold dear to my heart. I also want to talk about an exciting new Pop-Up Shop in Wayzata that you can exclusively find my Lake Sweater Collection (including the new and adorable Lake Minnetonka Children's sweaters). But first, a little re-cap of my week...

On Tuesday, I got to make a fantastic gingerbread house with my friend, Libby, compliments of the Lafayette Club. Usually, this is an annual event, but this year we had to go virtual at our homes. It was still awesome, and I loved making my little gingerbread boat house. I also got to do a fun photoshoot in Wayzata with Lake Minnetonka Magazine...

Watch out for their February issue!!

Wayzata Pop-Up: Northern Drift

There's a new store in town, and you'll be able to shop my sweaters there just in time for the holidays! Wayzata now has a nautical boutique that sells unique gifts created by local artists. They also carry their own brand name that makes apparel and accessories for men and women, Nothern Drift. A couple of my other favorite artists in the shop are 213 Water (custom water color paintings) and Anne Waddel Jewelry (custom nautical jewelry).

Winter Getaway Part I:

Classy & Tropical

My hands-down favorite place to visit in Florida is The Breakers Resort & Club in Palm Beach. The hotel was built by none other than Henry Flagler, and is one of the finest in the Sunshine State. There's plenty of beach to spread out on, as well as numerous pools, golf courses, and it's right by a spectacular bike trail that rolls along the Palm Beach intercostal waterway. Needless to say... there's plenty of room for activities! You're also steps away from the main streets of Palm Beach to get your shopping therapy in.

Winter Getaway Part II:

Magical & Snowy

This past Thanksgiving week, I got to visit the quaint ski village of Vail, Colorado. This Swiss-inspired ski resort offers so many winter activities, as well as top-notch shopping and dining. Splurge and stay at the Four Seasons, they have a year-round heated pool and multiple spa tubs to warm up in after a day of skiing the slopes. Shop and sip at the infamously luxe Gorsuch--try their Baileys hot cocoa. Make a dining reservation at one of their adorable European restaurants: Alpenrose, Lancelot, Pepi's. And don't worry, there's plenty of outdoor fun to be had if you're not up for hitting the slopes.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend--I'll be heading down south to Palm Beach. I promise to share some sunny photos! Take care.

-Molly
