Molly's Muse: No. 6

Updated: Oct 20, 2020

As I'm sitting in my home writing this week's Muse, it is SNOWING outside. Like... A LOT. And I almost can't believe it, but, that's Minnesota for you. I will say, it does look really pretty. Anyway, here's this week's line-up, somewhat inspired by this spontaneous October snowfall: fashionable fall wellies, an extremely flavorful chicken noodle soup recipe, my go-to travel shoes, and an epic fall/winter Lake Superior getaway that will surprise you.

This week is flying by and we're not even half-way through it! Some exciting things on my itinerary: the navy Lake Minnetonka sweaters are back in stock! AND there's a brand new sweater joining the group: the Gull Lake Sweater. Very adorable, and another beloved lake in Minnesota where many call home. I'm also having a small, fall wine tasting with Scout & Cellar at my home...can't wait to share the details! And I'm packing my bags again for a new trip I've planned...I'm really excited to share this one with you all soon :)

fall fashion: wellies

I originally saw these boots featured on Belle of the Ball's Instagram page, and she was actually hosting a contest with Joules to win a pair. I can't believe I actually won, and I'm really excited because they are SO cute. The tassels are actually interchangeable, and come with both yellow and brown.

new fave chicken noodle

As you may know, I'm a huge fan of soups, stews, and chilis. This easy chicken noodle soup recipe from NYT Cooking was fantastic! You actually use ground chicken, which soaks up all the herbs and spices beautifully.

Side Note: I use NYT Cooking on a weekly basis, and a yearly subscription makes a great Christmas gift!

the best travel sneaks

These sneakers from Cole Haan are my travel day lifesaver! They are super lightweight, comfortable, and pair so nicely with any outfit. You can dress them up, or wear them casually. A great price point and alternative to the iconic Gucci sneaker :)

Lake Superior dream barn

I stumbled upon this lakeside gem as I was researching vacation rentals on Lake Superior! It's a 40 minute drive due east from Duluth, right on the lake in Maple, Wisconsin. I'm thinking it's a great rental for a winter activity packed weekend. Make sure to check out the wood-fired hot tub...!!!

-XOXO Molly
